1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Compendio ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Compendio is a personal productivity application that allows you to:

  • Create and organize notes and documents
  • Track goals, habits, and daily tasks
  • Write journal entries
  • Manage projects

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. User Content

Ownership

You retain all rights to the content you create using the Service, including the content you create with AI features. We claim no intellectual property rights over any part your content.

License to Us

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Store and display your content to you
  • Create backups for data protection
  • Process your content as necessary to provide the Service

Prohibited Content

You agree not to use the Service for:

  • Content that violates any applicable laws
  • Harassment, abuse, or harm to others
  • Spam or unauthorized advertising
  • Distribution of malware or harmful code
  • Any activity that interferes with the Service

5. Free and Premium Plans

Free Plan

  • Access to core features with usage limits
  • Rate limits on certain operations

Premium Plan

  • Unlimited access to all features
  • Priority support
  • Subscription billed monthly or annually
  • Cancellation effective at end of billing period

6. Payment Terms

  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe
  • Prices are in the currency displayed at checkout
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
  • Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and use your information.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Compendio and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Service is free of viruses or harmful components

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Compendio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Compendio from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Conduct we deem harmful to other users
  • Illegal activity

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

13. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account. Upon deletion:

  • All your data will be permanently removed
  • This action cannot be undone
  • No refunds for unused subscription time (except within 14-day refund window)

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Romania and the European Union, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be resolved through:

  1. Good faith negotiation
  2. Mediation
  3. Courts of competent jurisdiction in Romania

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
